Isn't the Sabbath a Jewish thing? From what I read, the Sabbath began at creation in Genesis 2:4. The Creator Himself - Jesus - says that He made it for humanity in Mark 2:27 (not just the Jews who didn't exist then). On top of that, it is clearly a design in all human beings that we need to live in cycles of work and rest. The truth is that the Sabbath was a sign that the nation of Israel followed the true God, and everyone on earth was invited to join their nation and become a worshiper of the true God with them. God's original plan was that the nation of Israel would convert the whole world to becoming God worshippers (Exodus 19:6). So the whole world could have been Sabbath keepers if God's plan had worked through Israel!

Do I have to keep the Sabbath? It is an odd thing to call a blessing and a gift - a curse. This is why God says: [Isa 58:13-14 KJV] 13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words: 14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it]. There are multiple ways that we can look at the Sabbath, but we choose to see it as a GIFT!
